How to Build a Round Bar Table Out of Wood and Glass Pieces
A round bar table is a stylish and functional addition to any home. It is perfect for entertaining guests or simply enjoying a meal or drink with your family. While round bar tables can be expensive to purchase, they are surprisingly easy to build yourself with a few basic materials. In this article, we will provide you with a step-by-step guide on how to build a round bar table out of wood and glass pieces.
Materials you will need:
- 1 piece of 1/2-inch thick plywood, cut to a diameter of 36 inches
- 1 piece of 3/4-inch thick plywood, cut to a diameter of 30 inches
- 4 pieces of 2x4 lumber, cut to a length of 30 inches
- 1 piece of 1/4-inch thick tempered glass, cut to a diameter of 36 inches
- Wood glue
- Clamps
- Screws
- Finishing nails
- Sandpaper
- Paint or stain (optional)
Instructions:
Step 1: Assemble the base
Begin by gluing and clamping the four 2x4 pieces together to form a square. Make sure that the pieces are flush with each other. Once the glue has dried, reinforce the corners with screws.
Step 2: Attach the plywood top
Place the 3/4-inch thick plywood on top of the base and center it. Secure the plywood to the base with screws.
Step 3: Attach the glass top
Place the 1/4-inch thick tempered glass on top of the plywood. Center the glass and secure it with finishing nails.
Step 4: Finish the table
Sand the entire table to remove any rough edges. If desired, you can paint or stain the table to match your décor.
With these steps, you can create a beautiful and functional round bar table that will be the centerpiece of your home. Enjoy your new table!Bar Height Pub Table
