How to Build a Round Bar Table Out of Wood
Round bar tables are a popular choice for home bars and entertainment areas because they are both stylish and functional. They provide a great place to gather with friends and family for drinks and conversation. Building a round bar table out of wood is a relatively simple project that can be completed in a weekend. ### Materials To build a round bar table, you will need the following materials: * 1 sheet of 3/4-inch plywood (4 feet by 8 feet) * 1 sheet of 1/2-inch plywood (4 feet by 8 feet) * 12 feet of 2x4 lumber * 1 gallon of wood glue * 1 box of 1-1/4-inch wood screws * 1 can of spray paint (optional) * Stain or polyurethane (optional) ### Tools You will also need the following tools: * Circular saw * Jigsaw * Drill * Sander * Clamps ### Instructions 1.Cut the plywood.
Use the circular saw to cut the 3/4-inch plywood into a circle with a diameter of 4 feet. Use the jigsaw to cut the 1/2-inch plywood into a circle with a diameter of 3 feet 6 inches. 2.Assemble the base.
Cut the 2x4 lumber into four equal lengths, each measuring 3 feet long. Attach the 2x4s to the underside of the 3/4-inch plywood circle, spacing them evenly around the perimeter. Use wood glue and screws to secure the 2x4s. 3.Attach the top.
Center the 1/2-inch plywood circle on top of the base and secure it with wood glue and screws. 4.Sand the table.
Use the sander to smooth the edges of the table and remove any splinters. 5.Finish the table.
If desired, you can spray paint the table any color you like. You can also stain or polyurethane the table to protect it from wear and tear. ### Tips * For a more durable table, use exterior-grade plywood and lumber. * If you want to add a footrest to the table, simply attach a 2x4 around the perimeter of the base, about 12 inches from the ground. * To make the table more portable, attach casters to the bottom of the base. ### Conclusion Building a round bar table out of wood is a fun and rewarding project that can be completed in a weekend. With a little bit of planning and effort, you can create a beautiful and functional piece of furniture that will be the perfect addition to your home bar or entertainment area.Bar Height Pub Table 7 Steps With Pictures Instructables
