How to Build a Round Bar Table Out of Wood and Glass Doors

A round bar table is a great way to add style and function to your home. It's perfect for entertaining guests or simply enjoying a meal with your family. And it's surprisingly easy to build yourself with a little bit of woodworking knowledge.

To build a round bar table, you will need the following:

  • 1 round piece of wood (36" diameter, 1 1/2" thick)
  • 4 glass doors (24" x 30")
  • 1 box of 1 1/4" wood screws
  • 1 tube of wood glue
  • 1 nail gun
  • 1 drill
  • 1 sander
  • 1 finish

Instructions:

  1. Begin by sanding the round piece of wood to remove any rough edges. Then, apply a coat of finish to the wood and allow it to dry.
  2. Next, take the four glass doors and lay them out on the floor in a square. Make sure that the edges of the doors are flush with each other.
  3. Apply a bead of wood glue to the top edge of one of the doors. Then, place the round piece of wood on top of the door, centering it. Secure the wood to the door with 1 1/4" wood screws, driving them through the wood and into the door.
  4. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the remaining three doors.
  5. Once the doors are attached to the wood, flip the table over so that the bottom is facing up. Apply a bead of wood glue to the bottom edge of one of the doors. Then, attach the door to the table using 1 1/4" wood screws.
  6. Repeat step 6 for the remaining three doors.
  7. Once the table is assembled, sand it lightly to remove any rough edges. Then, apply a finish to the table and allow it to dry.

Your round bar table is now complete! Enjoy!

Tips:
  • If you don't have a round piece of wood, you can use a square or rectangular piece and cut it to size.
  • You can use any type of glass doors that you want. Just make sure that they are the same size.
  • If you don't have a nail gun, you can use a hammer and nails to attach the doors to the wood.
  • Be sure to sand the table lightly before applying the finish. This will help the finish to adhere better.
  • Allow the finish to dry completely before using the table.
